Dubai Metro Lines
Red Line
The Red Line runs across a large part of Dubai, connecting Centrepoint in the east with Expo 2020 and the Life Pharmacy area in the west. It passes through some of Dubai’s busiest areas, including Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Marina.

Where Can You Change Between the Red and Green Lines?
There are two main Metro interchange stations:
Union
Red Line: R18
Green Line: G20
BurJuman
Red Line: R19
Green Line: G26
These stations allow passengers to switch between the two Metro lines.
Dubai Metro and Tram Connections
If you’re staying around Dubai Marina, JBR or Palm Jumeirah, the Dubai Tram can be useful for connecting with the Metro network.
The RTA network map includes Metro and Tram stations together, making it easier to plan journeys involving both services.
The Tram currently has 11 stations and connects with the Dubai Metro and Palm Monorail network.

Dubai Metro Zones
Dubai’s public transport network is divided into seven zones. Metro, Tram and bus stations are located within these zones, and your fare depends on the number of zones travelled.

Dubai Metro Map 2026: What Has Changed?
Dubai Metro station names can change because of RTA’s station naming-rights programme.
One of the latest changes in 2026 is the transition from ONPASSIVE Metro Station to Garmin Metro Station. RTA announced a 10-year naming-rights agreement in September 2026, with the new name being introduced across station signage and digital transport systems during the transition period.
If you are reading an older Dubai travel guide, you may therefore see station names that are different from those shown on the latest map.
How to Plan Your Dubai Metro Journey
You don’t need to know the entire Metro network before travelling.
Simply:
1. Find your nearest station
Look for the Metro station closest to your hotel or starting point.
2. Find your destination
Check which station is closest to the place you want to visit.
3. Check the line
See whether your journey uses the Red Line, Green Line or a combination of Metro and Tram.
4. Check for an interchange
If you need to change lines, Union and BurJuman are the main Red Line–Green Line interchange stations.
5. Check the latest RTA information
Station names, operating information and transport details can change, so use the current RTA map and journey-planning tools before travelling.
